Abarth 500e: the first electric Scorpion

The small zero emission offers 154 hp and 235 Nm, as well as a range of 250 kilometers.

Abarth will be 100% electric in 2024. In the meantime, the scorpion firm has just presented its first battery-powered model: the Abarth 500e, which is based on the Fiat 500e, but with a sportier and more striking design, as well as a superior performance.

Although both have the same 42 kWh battery, the Fiat 500e delivers 118 hp and 220 Nm, while the Abarth 500e offers 154 hp and 235 Nm. 0-100 in 7.0 seconds, with a top speed of 155 hp. On the other hand, it has a range of 250 kilometers.

Managed with a single-speed automatic gearbox, this little electrified scorpion has three driving modes: Turismo (with power limited to 100 kW and torque at 220 Nm, and being the most efficient), Scorpion Street (maximum performance , but with more regenerative braking) and Scorpion Track (no limit).

In aesthetic terms, andThe Abarth 500e differs from its Fiat cousin by a specific front end bearing the Abarth name and a bumper accompanied by a front lip. At the rear, it sports a diffuser and spoiler. Meanwhile, it has sportier 18-inch wheels.

The Scorpionissima family name has been chosen to accompany what will be the launch edition of this Abarth 500e, limited to 1,949 units and whose price will be announced later.

It can be chosen in two exclusive body colors (Acid green or Poison blue), but it will also be accompanied by the most complete equipment available to this zero-emission scorpion. It will have, among other things, Full LED headlights, aluminum pedals and seats covered with Alcantara.
