Manuela Schnitzler says about her new role: “This is a big responsibility, involving a wide range of tasks, from start-up consultancy to custom solutions for existing companies.” The mother of two now takes over the regional management of the Völkermarkt Chamber of Commerce (WKO). The 42-year-old from Eberndorf will replace Reinhold Janesch (63), who went into partial retirement and held this position for 35 years.

The power of women in the regional office

Schnitzler is the first regional office manager in Völkermarkt and is supported in his activities by Magdalena Altenburg (legal advisor) and Simone Steiner (secretary). “We understand the needs of business owners in the county and will do our best to assist them. “We support our members, whether it concerns financial issues, legal matters or marketing strategies,” says Schnitzler, who has worked in the Völkermarkt regional office since 2005 and considers lifelong learning as his motto.

Another focus of the new team is to support the target groups “Women in Business” and “Young Enterprises”. There are many challenges we face in the future: “These include climate-neutral trade, digitalization or the Southern Region economic region, at the heart of which we are,” says Schnitzler.
