Emely Myles (33) from Miklauzhof in Sittersdorf/Žitara vas is one step closer to her dream of becoming a singer. She has now made it to the semi-finals of the “Voice of Germany” and thus to the live shows. “The first appearance needs to be remembered. Emely has a powerful voice,” Ronan Keating said on Saturday, November 17 at 1 p.m.
With Aretha Franklin’s song “Respect”, Myles so “intimidated” the other star coaches that they would not allow any coaches they patronized to compete with him. Myles remained comfortable in his “hot seat” from the start of the show and eventually managed to secure a ticket for the semi-final, which will be shown on Saturday 1 December. His coach Ronan Reating is proud of him. “He deserves it,” he said.
The singer from Panama has been living in the Sittersdorf district for two years. The mother of an eight-year-old daughter also looks after the children of the boss of the “Seewirtes” on the shores of Lake Klopein four times a week. Myles works behind the counter there in the summer. Myles will also be with his mother in Panama until November 19. “Then he will come with us to Carinthia for a while,” says Myles, who came to Austria through his sister. He also lives with his family in Lower Carinthia, just five minutes away from Myle’s apartment.
