In November, inflation in Italy fell to its lowest level since March 2021

According to preliminary data from ISTAT , in November, in Italy, inflation fell to its lowest level since March 2021: inflation was negative on a monthly basis, at 0.4 percent (meaning that prices were slightly lower than in ‘October) and 0.8 percent year-on-year (meaning they were barely higher than in November last year). The annual figure is down from the 1.7% rate recorded in October, when inflation fell significantly. Inflation is falling because energy prices have been falling for months, but also thanks to the policies of raising interest rates carried out by central banks. This generally does not mean that prices are falling, only that the increases gradually become less and less intense.
