Israeli army resumes attacking targets in Syria and Lebanon

The Israeli army announced that it once again attacked the targets of the Iran-backed Shiite militia group Hezbollah in response to rocket fire from Lebanon. The Israeli army announced on Tuesday that it opened fire on targets in the Yaroun town area in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah said it opened fire on Israeli troops near the village of Sarit in northern Israel. Another weather alert was issued in northern Israel on Tuesday morning.

Initially, nothing was known about possible victims on either side of the border. Since the beginning of the Gaza war, following the massacre carried out by terrorists belonging to Islamist Hamas and other extremist groups in Israel on October 7, there have been repeated clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah in the border region. According to Hezbollah, 140 of its fighters have died in Lebanon so far. Lebanon Civil Defense counted at least 12 more civilians killed. Other sources said 14 civilians died. In Israel, 6 soldiers and 2 civilians lost their lives in the bombardment from Lebanon.

Since the beginning of the Gaza war, the security situation in the entire region has been extremely tense. The risk of the conflict expanding is also increasing.
