Although the plan for now is focused on another project, producer Jerry Bruckheimer hasn’t ruled out making the Margot Robbie-related tape in the future.

mid-november margot robbie surprised his followers and fans of Pirates of the Caribbean by announcing that the franchise project that would have him as a protagonist would not go ahead.

Robbie said he doesn’t understand why Disney doesn’t want to make this bet based on a screenplay by Christina Hodson (Birds of prey), but despite the fact that the project would not really move forward at this time, the producer of the franchise of Pirates of the CaribbeanJerry Bruckheimer, indicated that this film proposal by Pirates of the Caribbean featuring a woman is not yet completely ruled out.

In an interview with Collider , Bruckheimer addressed the issue of the saga coming out of a ride through the Disney parks by noting that the movie Robbie was tied to hasn’t moved forward as he is now focusing on another project (presumably the bet with Craig Mazin). However, in the future, this idea could be implemented.

“I think that script will come out at some point. We developed two different stories for Pirates of the Caribbean, and the other started first, so that’s what we’re working on, to try to do that one.” notes the producer.

The most recent film in this saga, Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revengedebuted in 2017 and since then attempts have been made to revive the franchise which to date has reached a total of $4.5 billion worldwide.
