The actor who played Adar will not return for the second season of the series.
Last Thursday we told you that The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power not only had he added new members to his cast in preparation for its second season, but he had also chosen another actor to bring life to to give away the leader of the orcs.
Adar’s change in cast was due to the fact that Joseph Mawle, the actor who portrayed the character in the show’s first season, would not be returning for the second cycle.
But why did Mawle leave The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power? Through Twitter, the actor himself pointed out that it was all down to his desire to explore more characters.
“I loved spending time exploring Middle-earth and immersing myself in Tolkien’s mythology. I feel very honored that the character was loved. I really wanted to tell them their story. However, as an actor, I always want to (exploit) my job description to explore new characters and worlds. I wish the cast and crew the best for the second season, I will cheer them on from the outside.” wrote.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is filming its second season in the UK but has yet to reveal when the new episodes will be released.
