The Last of Us series on HBO can be seen in a spectacular second trailer


The second trailer for The Last of Us demonstrates the fidelity it will have with the game in a good handful of scenes. The first season will consist of 9 chapters and will air on January 16, 2023.

HBO doesn’t stop at promoting The last of usthe television series that adapts the story of the Naughty Dog video game to the small screen in a season consisting of 9 chapters which will debut exclusively on HBO Max on January 16th. In recent days, several individual posters of the main characters have been revealed, in addition to a general poster that looks very similar to that of the cover of the original title, which arrived on PS3 in 2013, while a second was presented yesterday trailer loaded with action and emotion.

As seen in its first trailer, it looks like HBO’s The Last of Us will be a very faithful adaptation of the original material. In this second trailer we can see scenes that are not references, but directly literal translations from video game to live action like, for example, a fragment in which Ellie has to cross a space between two buildings thanks to a wooden plank, or another in which the same character played by Bella Ramsey poses with Riley (Storm Reid) to take pictures in a center abandoned business. Of course, it’s confirmed presence of several new charactersso it wouldn’t be surprising if Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, creator of Chernobyl and co-creator of The last of us respectively, have implemented a few changes to surprise those who have played the game.

Going into more technical aspects, it is worth noting the budget of more than 10 million dollars per chapter, which clearly shows in a truly successful setting that captures and accurately captures the decadent feeling transmitted by the masterpiece by Naughty Dog.
