Former DC star would appear in action scene with Allan in the film Barbie

Michael Cerawho played Allan in the film Barbierevealed the original plans for Greta Gerwig’s film, which involved a fight scene with Ben Affleck. Unfortunately, the former Batman actor was unable to be part of the comedy.

Allan is one of several residents of Barbielandia, and represents a line of Ken’s friend dolls discontinued by the Mattel franchise. Thanks to Cera’s performance, Allan became one of the film’s most beloved characters.

According to Screen RantCera said that Affleck’s cameo would take place in the final moments of the film, in a fight against several Kens when Allan, Gloria (America Ferrera) and Sasha (Ariana Greenblatt) try to flee Kenlandia.

I wasn’t even supposed to fight in the movie. Can I say what it should be? It was supposed to be Ben Affleck. Right? Can I say this? I think Ben wanted to do it, but he was directing his movie“.

Cera reported that since Affleck couldn’t do the action scene in Barbie, he had to fight the stuntmen himself, which didn’t end very well on the first try.

I had just gotten over COVID, and they sent me to train, and I almost died. Just warming up! I had to lie down in my trailer, and they sent the nurse to check on me, and I was sent home. So we had a second rehearsal, and I learned. That’s the story basically“.

Now we can only imagine what Ben Affleck’s participation in the film would be like. Would he appear as one of several versions of Ken as a Batman figure?
