The bombings continue to devastate Gaza, terrorizing a population with no escape

The probability of rain has slowed the ground offensive, but what Gaza has not been spared is the bombings night and day. The destruction is now total in different parts of the strip. “I have lost my son and the whole family and not because we were fighting… we were just sitting at home. We have not done anything wrong,” cries Mohamed, an elder from Khan Yunis.

The number of deaths and injuries continues to increase

Any point in Gaza is an improvised morgue. “Sham, eight years old… Yusra, seven years old… These are their goals,” laments the children’s father.

Those who manage to be rescued alive are transferred to completely overwhelmed hospitals. Without water, medicines and hardly any fuel for electric generators. We visited the only operational children’s ICU in northern Gaza…

“As you can see, the children are in the incubators and we are ordered to evacuate the hospital…Transferring these children would be very risky,” says Dr. Abu Safiya.

Hospitals lack everything necessary

Fulla, she is 4 years old. She recovers from her injuries after an attack in which He has lost his entire family. All she has left is her grandmother. “They bombed the house and 14 people died. Only my granddaughter survived,” says Um, who is not separated from the little girl.

In short, two million people are trapped in a lethal ambush; caught between Israeli bombing and Hamas’s order not to flee to safety. Two million people find themselves with no escape.
