What is Queen Victoria Syndrome on The Crown?

In the fifth season of The crownQueen Elizabeth II hears people say she has ‘Queen Victoria Syndrome’, however she takes no offense to this and sees the comparison to her ancestor as a real compliment.

But what exactly is this “syndrome” and where does this term come from?

Queen Victoria is notable for being the longest serving British monarch, until Elizabeth’s arrival, of course. Her reign lasted 63 years, beginning in 1837 and ending with her death in 1901.

He ruled during the empire-building years and saw the Commonwealth expand dramatically during his reign.
