Death is not final

Kevin Wright explained that there are many ways to tell deep and emotional stories without needing a “shock factor”.

If I have to think that much, I want to say no. Sometimes we talk about things in the writers’ room, but even then, I don’t think we ever talk about someone actually getting killed off, especially because I know we all just want to keep telling stories with these characters.“, began the producer.

And I think taking those stakes really allows us to tell deeper, more emotional stories, and I think there are things you could do for the shock factor, but ultimately I think they would be a little hollow. The most interesting thing is: “Will Mobius examine his life?” Why won’t he go? Why doesn’t he want to? What will it be like when he actually sees it?‘”.

Furthermore, the producer pointed out that just like in the comics, even if someone dies, there is always a way to bring them back to life.

It will always be more engaging than “Who are we killing?” [Risos] Because, also, fans know how it works, it’s a comic book thing, you could do it, but we could always bring someone back and it would have diminishing returns. So it’s really about delving into the complex of the character“, he concluded.
