The creator of Cobra Kai is excited about the end of the series and wants derivatives

Cobra Kai is a series that debuted in 2018 and continues the story that began with the films Karate Kid.

In the plot, the audience learns about the adult lives of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, who decide to teach karate to teenagers.

However, as they teach a new generation of fighters, the rivalry between them also reignites.

The fifth season of Cobra Kai arrived at Netflix September 2023, and while season six doesn’t have a premiere date yet, it will be the last.

What to expect from the end of Cobra Kai

Second Screen triggering, Jon Hurwitzone of the creators of the series, shared what to expect from the sixth and final season of Cobra Kai.

He stated that the episodes will conclude the arcs of several characters and also promised the possibility of derivatives.

We hope that the characters are rich enough that if there is an opportunity to meet them again someday in the future, they will still be characters that people hope to spend time with.“Hurwitz said.

He added: “We’ve also added so many characters and stories to the mix that what this final season will be is constantly evolving. Ultimately we will take us places that we think will be fun, surprising and exciting.”

Who could star in the spin-off?

Cobra Kai brought back several Karate Kid characters and introduced several other new characters.

Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña) would be a good candidate to star in a Karate Kid spin-off, where they could explore his life as a fighter, but no longer as a trainee.

Another character who has potential for a spin-off is Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser), where it could show the young woman continuing the legacy of her father, Daniel.

Even with spin-offs on the horizon, the series could still provide a great final chapter to the story. Karate Kid.
