Agatha: Darkhold Journals is scheduled to debut on Disney+ at the end of 2024.

Originally the series was going to be called Agatha: House of Harknessbut in July 2022 the title was changed to Agatha: Chaos Covenand in September this year for Agatha: Darkhold Journals.

Presumably the various title changes are due to Marvel’s constant indecision on how to adapt the series to the MCU.

In WandaVision, Agatha Harkness was introduced as Agnes, Wanda and Vision’s nosy neighbor. The series finale revealed that she was a powerful witch and she wanted to usurp the Scarlet Witch’s powers.

At the end of the series, Agatha was trapped in WestView thanks to Wanda’s powers. In turn, the Darkhold was destroyed by the heroine Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

There were doubts about the fact Darkhold Journals it would be set before or after the events of WandaVision, but based on the title, it has to be a story that precedes it.

In Marvel comics, Agatha Harkness is a survivor of the Salem witch trials.

Sometimes she appeared as a villain, sometimes as an anti-heroine, she was even Franklin Richards’ nanny and Wanda’s mentor.
