Knuckles springs into action in the first trailer for his series

The long-awaited Knuckles series has finally received its first trailer. The guardian of the Chaos Emeralds made his debut in the film Sonic 2. The series will be released on Fundamental+.

Knuckles will bring him back Idris Elbareprising his role as the punching echidna in a new adventure that takes place between the events of Sonic 2 and the one recently announced sonic 3.

Knuckles was originally introduced as Sonic’s rival, manipulated by Dr. Robotnik. Fortunately, Knuckles realized the manipulation and joined Sonic, Tails, and their friends to protect the Master Emerald from the villain.

Knuckles is notable for his strong sense of duty, which often leads him to work alone to fulfill his responsibilities.

The series follows Knuckles in a new comedy full of adventure, action, emotion and self-discovery as he makes the decision to train Wade (Adam Pally) as his apprentice and teach him the ways of the echidna warriors.

Who else is in the cast of Knuckles?

The cast includes guest stars Stockard Channing, Edi Patterso, Scott Mescudi, Ellie Taylor, Julian Barratt, Rory McCann, Cary Elwes, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel.

Ben Schwartz will also appear in the series as Sonic, as will Tika Sumpter, who will reprise her role as Maddie. Colleen O’Shaughnessey will also return as Tails.

The films’ creative team is also working on the series, with Jeff Fowler, director and executive producer, directing the pilot episode and assisting in adapting the film’s distinctive cinematic animation style for TV.

Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, John Whittington and Toru Nakahara will also return as executive producers, joined by Idris Elba in the same role. The series will have other directors such as Ged Wright, Brandon Trost, Jorma Taccone and Carol Banker.

Knuckles will premiere Friday, April 26 exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada; the next day, April 27, in all additional Paramount+ territories; and Japan later this year.

sonic 3 will be released in theaters on December 20, 2024. Watch the trailer above.
