Hailing from Yonkers, New York, Such was a veteran of New Jersey’s thriving music scene, recognized for his contribution to the creation of the acclaimed band, Bon Jovi.

Alec John Such was also a childhood friend of drummer Tico Torres who brought guitarist/songwriter Richie Sambora to see them play. Tel knew Sambora from being part of a group called Message.

Managing the Hunka Bunka Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey, Such booked Jon Bon Jovi & The Wild Ones before joining the singer-songwriter’s band. He left the band in 1994, was replaced by bassist Hugh McDonald, then joined the band to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
