National football mourns: Marco Cornez passes away at the age of 63

The former goalkeeper of the national team and Catholic University died on Saturday after battling stomach cancer.

One of Cornez’s most important traits for which he will continue to be remembered in the history of national football is his ability to score as a goalkeeper, converting 24 goals in his career. That led him to become one of the highest scoring goalkeepers of all time.
