The Selecao team, which has already qualified for the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany, won in Liechtenstein with a score of 2:0 (0:0). At the same time, Slovakia received a ticket to the European Championship by defeating Iceland with a score of 4:2 (2:1).

Ronaldo (46th minute) and former Bayern professional João Cancelo (57th minute) gave the underdogs a runaway victory in Vaduz. For the Portuguese it was the ninth victory in the ninth qualifying match for the European Championship.

The Slovaks’ success was also virtually unthreatened. Juraj Kuczka (30th), former Bundesliga pro Ondrej Duda (36th) and Lukas Haraslin (47th/55th) scored against Iceland. Orri Oscarsson (17th) and Andri Gudjohnsen (74th) scored for the visitors.

The Luxembourgers, who have been surprisingly strong in European Championship qualifying so far, can still reach the knockout stages after another success. Cologne’s Mathias Olesen (6th), Gerson Rodrigues (30th/penalty/90th+5) and Nihad Mujakic’s own goal (55th) secured a 4-1 (2-) win over Bosnia and Herzegovina 0). The goal for the guests was scored by Renato Gojkovic (90+4).
