Croatia for the captain Luka Modric With 13 points, a win at the bottom of Group D on Tuesday (20:45) over Armenia is enough for a direct ticket to the European Championship. Wales (11) will face Turkey, who have already qualified and are hoping for help at the same time.

Meet the Bundesliga pros

Two Bundesliga professionals faced off for the Croatian national team in Riga, Latvia. Wolfsburg’s Lovro Meyer scored to make it 1-0 in the seventh minute. Andrej Kramaric of Hoffenheim 1899 made it 2-0 nine minutes later with Maier’s pass into the innocuous Latvians’ goal.

Wales missed out on a better starting position with a 1-1 (1-1) draw in Armenia. Nair Tiknisyan’s own goal at least leveled the score in stoppage time in the first half. Argentina native Lucas Zelarayan scored for the hosts five minutes into the game.
