Italy qualified for the European Football Championships

The men’s national football team qualified for next summer’s European Championships following the final qualifying match, played Monday evening against Ukraine at a neutral venue in Leverkusen, Germany. It was enough for Italy to avoid defeat to reach the final phase of the European Championships: the 0-0 draw was therefore enough to be assured of second place in their group behind England, already qualified for two rounds.

Next summer, from June 14 to July 14, Italy will therefore be able to defend the European title won in 2021 at the end of the traveling edition in the Wembley final against England.

The Czech Republic and Slovenia also qualified on Monday evening, joining Germany (qualified as tournament hosts), Albania, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Hungary, Holland, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey.
