The Sharks had enough of their own 18 shots for six goals. This is exactly what they achieved in total in ten previous away matches. Jacob McDonald and Anthony Duclair scored two goals each, Mikael Granlund scored one goal and set up two, William Eklund scored into an empty net shortly before the end to set the final score. Nico Sturm remained on the ice for about 14 minutes without scoring.

Despite their first road win of the season, the Sharks still have the worst record in the league. However, after a historically poor start to the season, the California team recently managed to win three wins in four matches.

In the second game of the night, Tim Stützle’s Ottawa Senators lost 4-2 to the Columbus Blue Jackets after a two-goal lead and clear dominance. Stützle remained on the ice for about 22 minutes without scoring a goal. This is the Senators’ third loss in a row.
