Lamparter finished only eighth on jumps at the World Cup in Lillehammer

Johannes Lamparter finished only eighth in the 10-kilometer cross-country ski race at the Nordic Combined World Cup in Lillehammer on Saturday (14:05). The reigning World Cup champion is already 1:38 minutes behind Norwegian leader Jarl Magnus Riiber, who clocks in at 102m. Lamparter (93m) is currently Austria’s fourth best player. Thomas Rettenegger and Martin Fritz are in fourth and fifth place, starting the race almost 15 seconds ahead of Lamparter.

Just ahead of Lamparter, Stefan Rettenegger is seventh, entering the track three seconds earlier. Riiber was on his way to his 60th World Cup victory. He is 56 seconds ahead of second-place Ryota Yamamoto (JPN).

In the women’s competition, Lisa Hirner starts the 5km cross-country ski circuit in ninth place as Austria’s top athlete. She is 1:43 minutes behind the leader, Norwegian Gyda Westvold Hansen, and 1:02 minutes behind the third place.
