Pope Francis is apparently still on the road to recovery after a lung infection. The Vatican press office announced this on Saturday via its Telegram channel. The 86-year-old no longer has a fever, but is continuing to receive treatment, it was said.

In order not to jeopardize his recovery due to temperature fluctuations, the Pope will perform the midday prayer on Sunday from his residence in Santa Marta. As was the case last Sunday, the so-called Angelus will be broadcast via video link.

According to Francis, the switch between heat and air conditioning was also the reason why his doctors advised him against attending the world climate summit in Dubai. Francis was supposed to be the first pope ever to give a speech there this Saturday. Instead, Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin read out the speech.
