Pinkelnig celebrates his twelfth World Cup victory in Ljubno

Eva Pinkelnig confidently celebrated her twelfth victory at the Ski Jumping World Cup in Ljubno. The 35-year-old from Vorarlberg won on Saturday with jumps of 91 and 90.5 metres, ahead of overall World Cup leader Nika Prevc of Slovenia (-6.8 points) and Canada’s Alexandria Loutitt (-10.4 points). It was overall World Cup winner Pinkelnig’s third win of the season. There is another competition on the schedule in Slovenia on Sunday.

The reigning champion, who was able to enter the fifth competition at the end of December due to knee problems, rose to third place in the overall World Cup rankings. Pinkelnig’s difference with Prevc is 182 points. Jacqueline Seifriedsberger placed 13th, just ahead of Julia Mühlbacher. Lisa Eder was 16th and Chiara Kreuzer was 25th.
