“You’re so beautiful, hue…”: Video shows the moment Lucho Plátano was arrested in San Ramón

The subject spent 22 days on the run after shooting detective Daniel Valdés.

Three weeks after the crime, the Investigative Police (PDI) this Wednesday arrested Luis Vásquez Villenas, alias “Lucho Plátano”, who is said to be the perpetrator of the murder of Commissioner Daniel Valdés, in January.

The 20-year-old subject was captured in the population of La Bandera, in the community of San Ramón, in a wide deployment of civil police, which even included air support in the area where he was detected.

Vásquez Villenas will be formalized as the author of the head shot that killed the PDI commissioner, Daniel Valdés Donoso (42), in front of his house on the night of January 17.

Since then, the reasons for the attack have been investigated, as various theories have been considered.

A short video of the arrest shows heavily armed specialized PDI personnel immobilizing “Lucho Plátano” while handcuffing him. “You look pretty like that, dude,” someone was heard to say.
