Where does Chile rank in the 2023 ranking of the safest and most dangerous countries in the world?

Taking into account security and protection, national and international conflicts and the degree of militarization, he Institute for Economy and Peace (IEP) presented his Global Peace Index 2023 where he establishes a ranking of the safest and most dangerous countries in the world.

According to the document, This is an indicator that measures the level of peace and the absence of violence in a country, where the first place represents the safest territory, while the last place corresponds to the most dangerous.

In this line, 163 countries were analyzed by the IEP. Among them, Chile, which in 2023 has worsened its situation and reached the closest point to dangerous countries in 15 years.

Where does Chile fit in the ranking of safe and dangerous countries?

This year, Chile obtained 58th place in the world peace ranking, among the 163 countries analyzed by the IEP. Compared to last year (which was ranked 53rd), it moved 5 places closer to the most dangerous countries.
