On Monday afternoon, another major Russian attack took place against the Ukrainian energy network: as has already happened several times in recent weeks, Russian missiles hit the energy infrastructure of various Ukrainian cities. There were power cuts in many areas, but also water supply problems near the port city of Odessa in the south of the country. A residential area near Zaporizhzhia was also attacked, where two people were killed.
As the air raid alert went off in Kyiv, as well as across Ukraine, the Kyiv Independent team took refuge in the metro.
We continue to work underground to keep you informed of the ongoing massive Russian missile attack on Ukraine.
