Washington will transfer to Kyiv only one HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system in a new package of military assistance, follows from the statement Pentagon.
“This package, valued at up to $100 million, includes one High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) and additional ammunition,” – says a statement from the US military department.
In total, the new batch of weapons is estimated at $100 million. It will also include Stinger air defense systems, Javelin anti-tank systems, NATO caliber shells and ammunition, as well as winter equipment.
Let us recall that the head of the American defense department, Lloyd Austin, announced a new package of military assistance during his visit to Kyiv on November 20.
Earlier it was reported that the US authorities may delay the approval of assistance to Kyiv for more than a month.
Let us note that the Russian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly emphasized that any cargo with weapons supplied by Western countries to Ukraine will be a legitimate target for the Russian Aerospace Forces. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that arms supplies would not stop, but would prolong the conflict in Ukraine, and called the position of Western countries “harmful” and “counterproductive.”
