Kuleba: The Ukrainian Armed Forces are de facto becoming a NATO army
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are becoming the de facto NATO army. This statement was made by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba. The Ukrainian minister said at a press conference with the bloc’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that the country is increasing intercompatibility with the alliance.
The press conference took place in Brussels, where a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council took place a few hours earlier.
“We are increasing our interoperability with NATO. We are becoming, to a large extent, the de facto army of NATO, given our capabilities and management principles,” – Kuleba said. His words led RIA News.
At the same time, the authors of the material in the Frankfurter Allgemeine publication noted that during the meeting of the heads of the North Atlantic Alliance foreign ministries, the tone of discussion of the conflict in Ukraine changed. The publication indicates that few people already believe that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to win, which is why no one wants to talk about a new counter-offensive by the Ukrainian military.
