Sex and the City actress Frances Sternhagen, where she played Trey’s mother, has died at the age of 93. This was reported by People, citing a statement from her family.

The publication notes that the actress died of natural causes on November 27 in New Rochelle.

“She leaves behind six children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.”it says in the message.

Sternhagen made her acting debut in 1955 on Broadway, since then her career began to develop rapidly and she became a popular actress in New York theaters. She was nominated for a Tony Award several times and won it twice.

Frances Sternhagen is known for her roles in the films “Misery”, “Julie and Julia: A Recipe for Happiness”, “The Mist” and the TV series “ER”, “Sex and the City”, “The Outer Limits”.
