New earthquakes of magnitude 5.7 rock the Philippines coast

The Philippines continues to be shaken by tremors. The magnitude of the next earthquake was 5.7, reports Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

According to seismologists, the earthquake occurred in the Mindanao region, 49 kilometers northwest of the Hinatuan River. The source of the disaster lay at a depth of 62 kilometers.

An earthquake of magnitude 7.5 occurred in the Philippines

Let us remind you that this is not the first tremors that have shaken the Philippines. In just over two hours, at least 22 earthquakes were recorded on the islands. The magnitude of the most powerful of them was 7.7.

Because of this, a tsunami threat was declared in some areas of Japan. Local meteorologists expect wave heights to reach a meter.
