The author Rick Riordan shared some interesting details about the new series of Percy Jackson and the Olympianspromising special surprises for the most passionate fans.
He made it clear that the creative team did an incredible job adapting the source material and adding elements that fans might not expect.
Riordan said the series included details and remained faithful to the books, making it an even more authentic experience than the authors themselves imagined.
“They will be amazed at how lovingly it has been adapted. There are Easter eggs in there that they, even the most avid fans of the books who know page by page, might not expect to see on screen.“Rick Riordan said in an interview with Screen triggering.
He continued: “And it’s not just because of me and Becky, it’s because of the whole team looking at the source material and saying, ‘That would be really fun to put on.'”
Becky Riordan, the writer’s wife, added: “I think Jon [Steinberg] and Dan [Shotz] they took longer than we suggested. Rick and I always thought, “Oh, we can deviate from this and do this and everything more faithfully, I think, than we were.”
About the Percy Jackson series
The first two episodes of the series are available on Disney+, and a new episode will arrive every Wednesday. In total, the first season will have eight episodes.
He is played by Percy Jackson Walker Scobell, who received praise for his performance in the lead role. The cast also counts Leah Jeffries like Annabeth and Aryan Simhadri like Grover, as well as Virginia Kull, Megan Mullally AND Jason Mantzoukas.
The actor Lance Reddick he is in the series as Zeus, and this was his last role before his death. His presence in the series will certainly be exciting for fans and will serve as a tribute to his talent.
