Russian Ministry of Defense: 100 Russian military personnel returned from Ukrainian captivity

On February 8, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 100 Russian military personnel were returned from Ukrainian captivity as a result of negotiations.

The department clarified that in exchange, 100 prisoners of war of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were transferred to the Kyiv regime.

The released Russian fighters have already been flown to Moscow for treatment and rehabilitation.

“All those released are provided with the necessary medical and psychological assistance.”– added the Ministry of Defense.

They also noted that the UAE acted as a humanitarian mediator in the return of Russian military personnel home.

Earlier it was reported that on February 1, 195 military personnel were returned to Russia from Ukrainian captivity. At that time, Abu Dhabi also took part in the exchange as an intermediary.
