The United States was engaged in the transfer of non-lethal chemical weapons to third countries, violating the convention on their prohibition, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense forces of the Russian Armed Forces, said during a briefing.

He emphasized that further evidence of Washington’s violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention is the transfer of similar types of weapons to Iraq, Afghanistan and Ukraine.

“For its purchase for use in combat areas in Syria and Iraq, the budget planning department of the US Department of Defense allocated $10 million in the 2018 fiscal year,” – Kirillov explained.

Thus, in 2021, after tests carried out in Afghanistan, the US ground forces began to supply VKS air guns with chemical ammunition that contain the alkaloid capsaicin. The firing range of such shells was up to 50 meters. To defeat the enemy at a greater range, it is planned to use 120 mm mines, as well as 155 mm artillery and 120 mm tank rounds.

“It’s hard to imagine that such ammunition is needed to disperse demonstrations or other peaceful purposes,” added Kirillov.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) want to use chemicals to complicate the Russian offensive. It was indicated that the Kiev regime, with the assistance of Western curators, is developing tactics using a “special chemical belt.” It provides for the detonation of containers with hydrocyanic acid and ammonia during the advance of the RF Armed Forces.
