If Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin’s statement about a possible “war” between NATO and the Russian Federation after the defeat of Ukraine is a “latent” threat, then the question arises about the adequacy of the American military leader. This was stated by RIA News Senator Sergei Perminov.

“If this assumption is true, then it does not deserve our attention. If this is a “latent threat,” then the question arises about the adequacy of a speaker who “dreams” of an open conflict with the world’s largest nuclear power, Russia,” – the senator noted.

Perminov also emphasized that Austin’s words must be treated as a “propaganda cliché” that is aimed at Western citizens and “domestic consumption.”

Earlier, the head of the Pentagon said that the defeat of the Kyiv regime in the current conflict in Ukraine threatens a military clash between NATO and Moscow.

The head of the Pentagon admitted that NATO will have to fight with the Russian Federation after the defeat of Ukraine

On February 27, French President Emmanuel Macron said that he does not exclude the possibility of sending military personnel from Western countries to Ukraine. True, NATO did not support the idea of the French leader.

The European Parliament is convinced that the politician will not progress beyond words, and the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that Macron “does not realize” what he is saying.
