Jamie Foxx (56 years old) was awarded the Association of African American Film Critics award. He beamed as he accepted the Producers’ Award on Sunday night (March 3). There was no further sign of the serious health problems that had plagued him for the past year.

Jamie Foxx wins award for inclusive storytelling

Before the ceremony in Los Angeles, the Oscar winner posed for a photo with his costars Jurnee Smollett (37), Courtney B. Vance (63) and Nia Long (53). The trio then presented him with the award on stage. The award recognizes his production company Foxxhole Productions’ ongoing efforts to create inclusive storytelling on screen.

The Hollywood star beamed as she accepted the award. Then he posed a lot for photographers. Jamie Foxx wore an all-black ensemble consisting of a Dolce & Gabbana jacket, black turtleneck and black trousers. He completed his elegant look with sunglasses and black leather shoes.

The awards ceremony took place almost a year after the actor was hospitalized due to a “health complication.” It is unknown what exactly Fox suffered from. The 56-year-old man was admitted to hospital on April 11, 2023 and was scheduled to receive treatment there. On May 3, 2023, the star spoke out for the first time on her Instagram page to reassure fans that she was in the process of recovery and grateful for their support.

He later emphasized that he was never blind or paralyzed, as some suspected. “I went through something I thought I would never go through,” he explained on Instagram in July 2023. “I know a lot of people were waiting for news or wanted to hear it, but honestly, I didn’t want you to see me like this.” He continued, “I didn’t want you to see my tubes coming out and me trying to figure out if I could do it.” He went “to hell and back.”

Jamie Foxx is back to work

There has been nothing but good news from Jamie Foxx recently. In August 2023, he stated that he finally felt like himself again. He returned to the camera in early 2024. The actor was spotted with co-star Cameron Diaz, 51, on the set of Back in Action in Atlanta, Georgia. On March 17, Fox will have another chance to win the prize. The 56-year-old has been nominated multiple times for the NAACP Image Awards. He is nominated as Best Actor for The Undertaker’s War and Best Supporting Actor for They Cloned Tyrone. “Story Ave,” which he produced, is also nominated for best independent film. (ae/spot)
